Sharon Perkins is the Director, Secretariat for Formation and Spirituality as well as the Director, Office of Evangelization, Catechesis, and Family Life (ECFL) for the Diocese of Austin, Texas. Reporting directly to Bishop Joe Vasquez and Auxiliary Bishop Daniel Garcia and serving on the Bishop’s cabinet. Immediate supervision of three associate directors—Evangelization, Catechesis (bilingual English and Spanish), and Family Life—and two support staff in the Office of ECFL as well as oversight of personnel at Cedarbrake Retreat Center and in the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. Created the first diocesan position for the support of evangelization ministries. She also has long-time experience in parish ministry.
