ENVISION Five-Phase Cycle
The Organizing Phase (8-12 weeks)
This first phase helps to provide adequate information to plan for the future, using a Christ-centered, results-oriented, mission-focused process. The parish also make preparations for Listening Day
The Listening Phase (4-6 weeks)
Parish leaders and parishioners reach a common understanding of the history and present reality of the parish, and parishioners reflect on the evangelizing mission of the Church.
The Discernment Phase (7-9 weeks)
Parishioners set priorities for the parish and articulate a shared vision of the desired future of the parish that is rooted in Catholic faith and mission
The Planning Phase (6-8 weeks)
The parish sets concrete and measurable goals, strategies, and targets to effectively achieve the desired future in the next three years. The parish celebrate the publication of its new plan.
The Implementation Phase (3+ years)
The parish community lives and proclaims the gospel more fully, as they carry out the evangelizing mission of the Church more intentionally in the priority areas that have been named in the parish plan. Throughout implementation, parishioners celebrate the concrete results which they witness.
